Biography
Jared Wright, a local Durango Colorado musician serves as the Artistic Director for the Southwest Civic Winds & the Civic Winds Jazz Orchestra. Originally from northern New Mexico, he studied music education at Fort Lewis College and focuses mainly on jazz education and performance. Integrating a broad range of musical styles, including symphonic wind band performance, jazz, funk, blues, classical, rock, and Latin, he enjoys teaching and performing with people from all backgrounds. Jared has served as the choir director at First United Methodist Church of Durango, and currently serves as the choir director for Christ the King Lutheran Church in Durango. In addition to performing with the Southwest Civic Winds, Jared also performs regularly with many groups in the Durango and Four Corners area.

Mark Rosenberg - Assistant Director; Southwest Civic Winds
Biography
Local musician Mark Rosenberg is thrilled to be involved with SWCW, serving as a percussionist, drummer for the Civic Winds Jazz Orchestra and most recently accepting the position as Assistant Music Director. Mark has been fortunate to have assumed a great variety of roles within the music industry. His experience includes: stagehand, production manager, audio engineer, performer, clinician, teacher, director, guest artist and touring musician.
Mark brings knowledge and experience to the Civic Winds and is a Fort Lewis College alumni with a BA in Music education. He has taught locally for 20+ years. Currently Mark plays drums and sings harmony vocals for The Spaghetti Western Band. Mark can be found most days working at Stitch, a Quilt Store he co-owns with his wife LeeAnn Vallejos.
